Of the many programs the Placentia Library Friends Foundation supports at the Placentia Library, the Adult Literacy Program is one of the most impacting. On Thursday, May 2nd, 2019 tutors and their adult students were recognized at a promotion and recognition event. The event was held at Placentia Presbyterian Church in their Trinity Room, and awards and special gifts were bestowed to volunteers and those they teach. It was a special event attended by board member Lisa Pacheco. Also in attendance was library director, Jeanette Contreras and library Trustees Al Shkoler and Jo-Anne Martin.
