Lisa Brackmann Lisa Brackmann is the NYT best-selling author of the Ellie McEnroe series set in China (Rock Paper Tiger, Hour of the Rat, Dragon Day), and suspense novels Getaway, Go-Between and Black Swan Rising. Her books have been nominated for numerous awards, including the Strand Critic’s best-first-novel and Amazon’s Top 100 Books of the Year and Top 10 Mystery/Thrillers. Her work has also appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Salon, Travel+Leisure, Los Angeles Review of Books and CNET. She lives in San Diego with a cat, far too many books and a bass ukulele.

Matt Coyle Matt Coyle knew he wanted to be a crime writer at the age of fourteen when his father gave him THE SIMPLE ART OF MURDER by Raymond Chandler. He is the author of the Rick Cahill crime series. His books have won the Anthony, Ben Franklin Silver, and San Diego Book Awards, and have accrued nominations for the Anthony, Macavity, Shamus, Lefty, and RONE Awards. His fourth book, BLOOD TRUTH, came out in December. Matt lives in San Diego with his yellow Lab, Angus, where he is writing the fifth Rick Cahill crime novel.
